Am I eating the correct amount of food at the correct time of day?

First of all, I am male and 14 years old, I'm 5ft7 or 170 cm and 65 kg. Basically, I decided to lose a little weight and eat a little less than my GDA (Guideline Daily Amount). Normally I start my day off with a bowl of porridge with milk or cereals without milk. (I know it's unbelievable, but I hate it with milk). I'm then in school from half past 8 until half past four. I'm not a big fan of school food, and unless they haven't got my favourite dish or something special, I normally only have an apple or yoghurt because the rest they sell is just absolute junkfood. When I come home I eat a bit of fruit and maybe some bread or a small snack. I then have a fairly large supper later (7pm) in the size of a normal or smaller lunch. I know it is not good to eat no proper lunch and a large supper, but will the way I eat at the moment have a good or a bad impact on my body? If so, how and what will it do? Thanks in advance!

Here is the deal. A lot of people I know say that I don't need to lose any weight, but I am in my skin and I see something different. I am 5'10 and 140 lbs (yay me! I lost 2.5 lbs in the past week and a half). I've been cutting back on simple carbs big time, eating lean meats and eating more vegetables. I was so hungry when I first began trying to lose weight about a month and a half ago, but now I notice, I don't even crave food anymore. I take no supplements or aides to lose weight, just vitamins and trace minerals in my water/cooking. Now it's easy for me to stick to 800-1,000 calories per day and I am aiming for less. I eat things like, kidney beans and tomato paste stew, chicken breast with spinach, and I'll have fruit days and vegetable days (just what it sounds like). I don't do rice or bread anymore and NO junkfood or soda. I want to get to 134 lbs. by June. Is this obsession, or just a normal weight loss goal?

Advice on how to remove the RING from a Nostril BCR?

I have tried for the past two and a bit hours to take this ring out and replace it with a stud (as i have prom in two days) and it just wont budge! Wow it doesn't look like you're getting any of the right answers! Here's the deal, if you want to gain weight but not get FAT, you will have to eat a lot of protein and fiber. Also, you need to start working out to gain BULK muscle, not LEAN muscle. This means lifting as much as you can for fewer reps, rather than a comfortable amount for more reps. I'd say use your bar and do bench presses (lay on your back and lift it away from your chest and extend your arms fully). Eat three meals a day with snacks in between if you can. You don't have to eat unhealthily to gain weight, in fact I wouldn't recommend it because it can cause you to get depressed. Just remember to drink lots of fluids, vitamin d milk is really good for gaining weight. Good luck!

Infecteda tragus piercing?

Well I got both of mine done in mid May, and for a week mine were never swollen until randomly one would swell up so bad for no reason and then go down. But they could be sore because they take what seems like forever to heal. My piercer told me that with any cartilage piercing you should expect that "white" stuff because that means its healing. The blood could be from changing the piercing multiple times, my tragus does the same thing when i accidentally hit it or lay on my side wrong while sleeping. But whatever you do, don't take the piercing out because if it does happen to be infected, it won't be pretty. Just keep doing the warm sea salt soaks and rotate the piercing to make sure you get the sea salt water inside the hole. And also wash with antibacterial soap when in the shower. That seems to help with all piercings. Try to keep your hair away from it and wash it thoroughly to make sure that your shampoo or conditioner doesn't affect the healing process anymore. (:

I am soon going to get my ears pierced. For the third time. The first time, I got my ears pierced at Claires with 14k gold posts stamped 14k on the actual post (yes I can read that small). After a few days, the holes started leaking this nasty yellow pus, and my mom put alcohol on them and nothing helped so we took the earrings out amd the holes closed over. I have been cleaning my ears twice a day during that time, and I did not touch my ears. A few years later, I got them pierced again, with gold plated studs. Same story. Hi. Your exercise plan is reasonable but you must also watch what you eat. It's pretty simple. You have to burn more calories than you take in. Some good advice from others but I don't really agree with "only eating steamed meat". In fact, I've never even heard of steaming meat? Maybe it's popular outside of the USA, I don't know. But there's nothing wrong with baked meat or grilled or suaute'd. And watch the juice. Most of it is very high in sugar. One glass of orange juice is the equivalent of several oranges at once.

At my school, we have started hosting a casual "Welcome Back Week" Dance. I don't ever consider calories, and I don't know why the majority of people do?????? Counting calories is so vague because calories come from most everything we put in our mouth, but just as you pointed out, not everything we CAN be put in our mouth OUGHT to be put there. Don't you think it's more clear and specific to count protein, fat, vitamins, cholesterol, and such? That way, if you want to lose weight, you count grams of fat, sugar, and cholesterol. If you want to build muscles, then increase amount of protein. If you need to gain weight, then increase all categories. Because I'm odd, I pierced my own nose on saturday, I went from a stud to ring the next day. Keep cleaning it with salt and water solution, if after a week it hasn't cleared up take out the ring and put the stud back in. If it doesn't work take it out completely and let it grow over and try again. Hope it helps.

I will try to answer this question as well as I can. First, wireless is not normally built into a desktop computer, it can easily be added on, although I suggest that If you can possibly just plug it in using eithernet do that, it will be faster. Next, FireWire is not required by any means, I myself use all USB devices (i.e mouse, keyboard). I own a Asus a-81 laptop and it is extremely fast, with all th power this desktop has, you'll have no problem multitasking. Personally, I would suggest getting a piercing, and I say this because I started out with a piercing first and if I felt the need to take it out I could easily replace it with a clear retainer. Unlike a tattoo, you of course cannot do this if you regret it unless you're willing to pay $100-$1,000 for removal. I had a lip piercing once, snakebites actually, and didn't like it much because I had too much attention drew to me, but at least I could take it out. BUT, the hole didn't close up completely, so now I'm stuck with a permanent hole in my lip. The only reason I don't suggest the tattoo is because of the pain. I have a foot tattoo, and the pain was excruciating, but it sounds like the better option IF you don't want a hole stuck in your lip forever. Both of them have their consequences, so at the end of the day, it's your ultimate decision.

So, I've been doing some research on the p90x system, and after seeing peoples results I think it is what I'm looking for. However, I do not plan on doing the classic version, I want to do lean so that I don't get to bulky or too much muscle considering I am a girl and would prefer not to have a man's body. I'm 5'8 and weigh around 127, based on your personal experiences with p90x lean and/or what you've seen friends or family accomplish from it what results do you think I will see? Started working out...gaining weight instead of losing?

The weight gain is probably from muscle but also from eating at night. Studies show that if you eat after around 8:30ish you will wake up even hungerier in the middle of the night or in the morning. Just try to count your calories and try to eliminate some of the worst junk food from your house and then take away the rest slowly. I hope I helped!!:)

Should there be a fat tax?

As a smoker, I have to pay a lot more tax than a non-smoker because I supposedly cost the system more (some people's rationale). If that's true, then why is there no fat tax? Once you've hit 5'8" and 350lbs you're definitely going to be a burden on either the hospitals, social workers, welfare or all three. Why should I have to pay higher tax when I do not burden such systems and will die rather quickly and cheaply from lung cancer and not even collect a pension?

Please don't worry about this. Trust me. You'll have a lot of time to gain weight when you're older. Try doing some workouts to build lean muscle. That will benefit you much more in the long run.

I was addicted to junkfood like Sizzlers, Saslik, Fried Rice, Chilly Chicken, French fries etc. which I ate one or the other almost every evening (sometimes there were gaps) since 2 years. But I never overate these things and ate moderately but regularly. Since the last month, I'm experiencing intense vomiting tendency every time I eat any food. (Junk food makes this worse!) So I quit junk food and I was feeling better since the last week. But yesterday I ate fried rice and I am experiencing vomiting tendency today very much. Other symptoms include intermittent but short itching on various parts of the body. A bit lethargic. Legs not swollen. Urine output seems ok. Appetite has decreased a lot and after eating a meagre amount of any food makes me very full. I'm very much scared. Am I the victim? Please help.

Cutting out flour, sugar, meat?

Okay.. I'm 18 and about 30 pounds overweight and I really really want to get in shape. I've been attempting diets off and on for a while but I never really stick with it. I always cave in when my mom buys icecream or when I have to go out to eat for a "family dinner". My problem is also that I tend to raid the fridge for sweets when I'm home alone, and snack on junk food. I actually don't really binge as much on fatty food (I haven't eaten fries in ages so now they disgust me) but I eat way too much sugary things like cookies, icecream. So I really want to eat healthier, cut out junkfood and processed sh*t.. and I was wondering if I'd lose weight if I went vegetarian or vegan? Well actually, it's not so much about losing weight; I really want to get healthier overall and I have some vegetarian friends and one ex-vegan friend who says she felt so much better/healthier when she was vegan. Also, I think animals are just swell.. and I'm kind of getting into the whole animal rights stuff after watching some videos about animal farms and abused hens and whatnot. I don't really eat red meat anyways, and although I do like chicken and turkey I could probably live without it. I do like eggs for breakfast but sometimes when I'm in the process of cooking them and the yolks are all raw and slimy looking it freaks me out, so I guess I'd be better off not eating eggs either. And I don't drink whole/real milk these days already; I love almond milk. But actually, I never really thought of it, but I probably eat stuff that has milk and eggs in it all the time (like icecream and processed food) so mainly that's what I want to cut out. Wait, I remember my original question! What exactly can I eat if I cut out meat, dairy, eggs, processed food, processed white flour (which apparently, NEWS FLASH!, has no real nutritionally value) and processed sugar? Can someone give me just a list of basic staples.. things that a vegan-ish person can eat? I know it's basically fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes, but is there like a list of okay things?

Dont buy off of ebay. Buy from newegg. Old crappy computers are fairly priced there and you'd probably end up paying MORE just for the parts alone. I really recommend newegg though. You don't need practice really, its like putting a puzzle together. Just get a decent computer. Like 3-400 for an OKAY computer.

I don't ever consider calories, and I don't know why the majority of people do?????? Counting calories is so vague because calories come from most everything we put in our mouth, but just as you pointed out, not everything we CAN be put in our mouth OUGHT to be put there. Don't you think it's more clear and specific to count protein, fat, vitamins, cholesterol, and such? That way, if you want to lose weight, you count grams of fat, sugar, and cholesterol. If you want to build muscles, then increase amount of protein. If you need to gain weight, then increase all categories. But just as you pointed out, how do you know what to do by just counting calories??????? If you want to lose weight, so you don't want to consume more than x amount of calories. You can eat nothing but chips and candy bars as long as you don't go over the calorie limit, or eat a hearty meals with meat, vegetables, carbs, and fruit and follow the exact calorie limit. So what is the point of counting calories???????????

I'd say if you carry on what your doing you will have a disorder, the fact you've been tempted to purge is not normal. I don't know how thin you are but all I will say is that if you have 3 healthy meals a day and do your exercise then your body is getting what it needs and you won't be getting fat.

I would rather eat cereal or something small for dinner that turkey and chicken won't do the work. Eat more breakfast! Lunch sounds fin except the chicken! And do not kill yourself for a diet just make sure you eat foods that are healthy and feel comfortable eating that do not make you go hungry! And one thing just lose the junkfood then eat normal stuff then, if your not getting the results then go with the diet. You might get results and solutions once you start going to puberty.

But sometimes i wonder if the emotions i feel and intensity of it i feel on a regular basis and constantly covering them up can have a negative effect on my physical health because i'm always tired, and sometimes feel so exhausted to the point where i feel like i have barely enough strength in me to fulfill my tasks. sometimes i go in a daze and feel like i'm there physically but mentally i've gone in a daydream because of how tired i am and just tune out everything around me. i don't work long hours (5/6 hours max a day), i eat generally healthy except for the odd junkfood now and then..and have lately for the past month started exercising 6 days a week to get in shape for summer (alternating one day weights, one day cardio etc). Sometimes on my days off when i'm not working i'll have a lie in and sometimes spend my whole day in bed...i'd go to sleep midnight-ish and wake up late morning, eat something then go back to sleep until 3 or 4...

Why is there a lump inside my earlobe?

I got my ears peirced for the first time 11 weeks ago. I took out the original studs after 6 weeks. I have been able to wear straight post earrings no problem, and about a month ago I tried putting in earrings that are curved. It didn't work so well, as my ear started bleeding. I stop trying, cleaned my ear and put my other one back in. I have left it in for about a month now. I'm not sure if I should be taking it out and cleaning my ear still... Anyways, I took it out today to put in new earrings and I cleaned my ear. When I went to put my new earring in I felt a lump in my earlobe just below the piercing hole. I of course freaked out and started shaking and getting dizzy. The new earring went in just fine, but its a little shorter then my usual earrings and because of the lump it hardly stuck out the back of my ear. So, I took it out put my other one back in. I'm just wondering why there is a lump in my earlobe. It feels like its almost gone now that my other earring is back in, but it still is there a little. I'm trying not to mess with it, but I don't know what to do. Is it from not taking my earrings out and cleaning my ear? Is it puss build up in my earlobe or something else? Is it going to go away and if It does and I pull my earring out again is it going to come back? I waited 24 years to get my ears pierced and now it seems like more trouble then its worth. I'm afraid to try to pull my earring out again, as I almost fainted in my bathroom. Should I just leave my earring in for a few days? Is my other ear going to do it too?

I got my ears pierced Sunday afternoon and I haven't slept since Saturday night. I'm beyond exhausted. I'm so tired, I'm tempted to just take the studs out and have the holes close up. Anything to get sleep. I'm one of those people who sleeps on her side, but my new piercings are terribly painful, which makes that impossible to do. I've been sleeping on my arms, but I wake up with dead, pins and needles arms, which sucks just as well. I'm so tired and I can't do this for 6-8 weeks. I heard that taking pain killers helps.
