Why is america pressuring girls to be super skinny these days?

this is an outright lie. america is NOT pressuring girls to be super skinny. if it was then how come so many women are clearly overweight? i don't see any women wishing to be scary skinny. i do see women wishing for a nice @$$ and spending money on breast implants. seems to me like curves are in. there is NO pressure to be super skinny.
