Will going to the track for a hour daily help me lose weight?

Im 17 my height is 5'6 and i weigh 210 pounds you could pretty much say im really overweight before i never did excercise and ate alot of junkfood well for the past week ive been going to the track for a hour each day jogging/speed walking,stopped eating junkfood and stopped drinking sodas i want to lose weight i want to be at least 175
