What is the best pay-as-you-go mobile phone network in France for data usage on a smartphone?

I'm going to France for a couple of months and would like a local sim card to stay in touch with people locally but more importantly want to be able to use my Blackberry data connection as cheaply as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which will be the best network for this and what the associated costs are? Thanks
